Ol Loggin Epoxy
🟢 Objective
BuilderGrowth partnered with woodworking influencer and former client Jake Latvala (of Ol Loggin Epoxy Sawmill) to launch a new epoxy brand rooted in the woodworking and maker community. With Jake’s growing personal brand and experience in epoxy tables, the opportunity emerged to build a vertically integrated brand that served both creators and small retailers.
The goal was to create a high-quality, small-batch epoxy brand with personality and scale—designed to grow through community and craft-based retail partnerships.

- Concepted and co-founded Ol Loggin Epoxy
- Sourced and negotiated partnership with epoxy manufacturer
- Developed brand identity, logo, visuals, and product naming
- Designed and launched ecommerce website + Instagram channel
- Built out pricing model and wholesale distributor program
- Created technical documents (MSDS/TDS) with manufacturer
- Developed go-to-market strategy and launch campaign
- Recruited and onboarded 15+ retail partners across the U.S.
- Ran ongoing social media and community-building strategy
- Positioned the epoxy line as a business opportunity for makers—not just a product
🧠 Strategic Process
We leaned heavily into a personality-first launch strategy—building around Jake’s existing woodworking influence and focusing not on mass retail, but on empowering other woodworkers to become micro-distributors. This decentralized strategy aligned perfectly with the DIY maker economy and gave small shop owners a new income stream.
The entire brand ecosystem—from branding to go-to-market systems—was built and launched by BuilderGrowth as part of our venture model.

- Launched and grew brand to six figures in revenue in Year 1
- Distributed to over 15 locations within the first year
- Grew Instagram following to nearly 10,000 followers

Exited — BuilderGrowth exited the venture in 2023 after building the brand, distributing, and scaling early traction. The brand continues under new leadership.

Ol Loggin Epoxy proved the power of combining personality, community, and purpose-built product design in a niche market. It also showcased BuilderGrowth’s ability to go beyond agency work, co-found ventures, and drive real returns—all while elevating our client’s original vision and helping makers build stronger businesses.
